Amendments

*** Recent Regulation changes removed the amendment cycle window and the need for charter schools to submit a good cause exemption request when submitting outside of the amendment window. Moving forward, amendments may be submitted anytime with requesting a good cause exemption. For charter schools seeking to make changes for which a Request for Amendment is required, contact SPCSA staff regarding the word form of the amendment application and other required documentation. Please send an email to Katie Broughton, kbroughton@spcsa.nv.gov, and Danny Peltier, dpeltier@spcsa.nv.gov.

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (refer to 29 U.S.C. 794d)

Congress significantly strengthened Section 508 in the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. Its primary purpose is to provide access to and use of Federal executive agencies’ electronic and information technology (ICT) by individuals with disabilities. Compliance with Section 508 is mandatory for all entities receiving federal funds--including the SPCSA and its charters.
